The forms below are ONLY for County Tax Offices and select locations not on PeopleSoft for HR purposes (as indicated).

Please note that the Membership Application/GSEPS Defined Benefit Beneficiary Election form will NOT be used for new hires.  This is a change from what was originally communicated in the GSEPS training sessions.   Within approximately 45 days of hire, new GSEPS members will be notified by ERS of access to the ERS Member Self Service Web Site at www.ersga.org to designate their beneficiary on-line. This change creates a more efficient process for both the agency and ERS, and provides an accessible record for employees to view and update their pension plan beneficiary designation at any time.  In the near future, ERS plans to offer this on-line beneficiary election/change feature to existing ERS New and Old Plan members as well.  More information will be coming from ERS.

The beneficiary designation for the 401(k) plan is also an online process, through the Peach State Reserves website at: http://myGApsr.ingplans.com.  The 401(k) beneficiary designation can be made within a few days of hire, after the hire information has been transmitted to ING.

Notes for PeopleSoft HCM users:

Locating 401(k) Match Total in PeopleSoft HCM and Reporting to ING.  The GSEPS Match Contribution is reported on the PYXXX0018H report with other Employer Contributions.  The Deduction Code is listed as GS401K or GS401+, and the Deduction Class is ‘P’ for Nontaxable BTax Benefit.  This is the amount that should be entered as the Employer Match on the Control Totals Sheets for ING.

PeopleSoft HCM Pension Reports.  An additional pension plan code has been added to PeopleSoft to accommodate the new ERS benefit plan GSEPS. As a result, the ERS Pension Reports provided by the State Accounting Office to assist you with completing your Retirement Reports now have (3) three benefit plans listed.

Please be aware that the totals page of your BNxxx559-Retirement Interface Transmission Recap and the BNxxx555-Retirement Report for Pension Plan ERS indicates a grand total for all contribution groups (benefit plans) under ERS.

For most employers it will be similar to the following:

E2GAR   xxxxxxx         xxxxxx         xxxxxxx

E2NAR   xxxxxxx         xxxxxx         xxxxxxx

E2OAR   xxxxxxx         xxxxxx         xxxxxxx

Sum       xxxxxxx         xxxxxx         xxxxxxx

  • To obtain the salary and contributions summary data for your ERS-AR report you should sum the salary and contribution totals for E2NAR and E2OAR
  • To complete your ERS-GAR report you should enter salary and contributions summary totals for E2GAR
